Fiber has become a necessary part of low voltage installations thanks to high-definition video and ever-increasing network bandwidths. And while it's a new topic for most designers and installers, integrating fiber really isn't that difficult. The first part of this course explores why fiber is necessary, where fiber is being deployed, what components are part of the fiber ecosystem, and how to integrate a fiber optic infrastructure. In addition, attendees will receive hands-on training on terminating and testing fiber including fiber preparation and termination with LC and SC connectors.
