Hailing from the UK with a keen interest in gadgets, Tim Simmons bought my first computer, the Sinclair ZX spectrum with a full 1KB of memory, at the age of 10.

Tim’s background includes designing, building and programming mechatronic industrial PLCs, servos and digital control systems for large scale food processing and manufacturing corporations. Further, he was a firefighter who served with United States Department of Defense and was trained in the special operations of rescue, hazardous materials, emergency medical technician and, of course, fire.

Currently working for Snap One, Tim formerly ran a home automation and electrical company, delivering high-end domestic projects and MDU projects in the form of high-end luxury apartments.
